Twelve (12) students enrolled in Williams College January 2013 Winter Study program went to Nicaragua to do humanitarian work. Â In cooperation with optometrists from the New England College of Optometry, the college students dispensed reading and distance glasses to persons in remote and often impoverished communities on the Atlantic coast of Nicaragua. Â They spent eleven (11) solid days traveling and visiting clinics in small villages on the rim of Pearl Lagoon, and enjoyed handing out dollies and colorful teddy bears to delighted children!
