Say you are traveling to a far away country on a much anticipated vacation, and you want to make a contribution to the people who live there by bringing donations with you such as school supplies, and arts & crafts. You are in luck, as you can go onto the website: Pack for a Purpose, and it will connect you with a wide range of resorts and/or tour companies in your vacation area where you can safely drop off your donations (from a specific list of requested items) and know they will be delivered directly to children in need.

It’s as simple as going online, and making room in your suitcase! (and after you empty your suitcase of donations, think of all the room you will have for souvenirs!)

Pack for a Purpose’s motto is: Small Space.  Little Effort.  Big Impact.

Rebecca Rothney founded Pack for a Purpose 11 years ago, right around the time when Dorothy and Cindy were starting up Dollies Making A Difference.  Our two organizations found each other through the internet and we’ve stay in touch ever since.  When Rebecca emailed us that she and her husband would be making a trip to Kenya and would like to bring Teddy Bears with them, the ladies at the Dollie table got to work.

Rebecca and her husband personally distributed 85 Teddy Bears to young girls at Ngosuani Primary School, one of the two schools supported by Saruni Mara (a Safari company offering lovely accommodations within the valley of Mara North Conservancy, a private wildlife concession, bordering the famous Masai Mara.)
