Lighthouse Medical Mission (LMM), under the direction of Santa Monica Pediatrician Dr. Bob Hamilton, has been traveling to Western Africa for the past 21 years. In January, Dr. Hamilton and a team of doctors, nurses, and volunteers traveled to The Gambia where they provided medical care to thousands of persons in need. Â In one particular case, a man came into the clinic in great pain and one of the LMM doctors diagnosed him with a ruptured appendix. Â They were able to rush this man to a hospital where he had emergency, life-saving surgery. LMM never travels anywhere without Dollies and Teddy Bears!
