Outreach International (www.outreachinternational.co.uk) is a humanitarian organization whose mission is to match young adults with an interest in traveling and community service, with meaningful volunteer  service projects all over the world. These opportunities would take place during the young adult’s “gap year, career break, or summer break” .   Outreach International’s home office is based in Somerset, England.

When dollie maker Lulu Simon traveled to London last year, she took a big box of dollies on the plane with her, and upon her arrival mailed them to Somerset.  I just received an email today from the folks at Outreach International, along with this wonderful photo of the many volunteers who carried our dollies with them all over the world.

Their website says:

Volunteering abroad could involve anything from working with children – in schools or orphanages – to helping out at an animal rescue centre. Other popular projects include rainforest and marine conservation, teaching English or art and craft, or medical-related projects, such as physiotherapy. There really is something for everyone. You could make a real difference – to others and yourself!

Outreach International need volunteers to work abroad in schools, hospitals, orphanages, with the disabled, animals and animal rescue, wildlife, physiotherapy, medical projects, sports and on humanitarian and conservation projects in South America, Central America, Africa and Asia, including Ecuador, Mexico, Costa Rica, Cambodia, Nepal, the Galapagos Islands, Kenya and Sri Lanka. We’re always looking for Gap Year students or anyone who wants to take a career break, Summer holiday, Easter or Christmas vacation break or a few months or a year out volunteering overseas.

Sounds amazing! We hope to partner with the volunteers at Outreach International in their future travels!
