For the fourth year in a row, Dollies Making A Difference (DMAD) has welcomed Wounded Heroes of America to the Dollie Table!  This year we presented this worthy organization, composed of veterans who served our country in Iraq and Afghanistan, with patriotic dollies and teddy bears.  The ladies from The Stitch by Stitch group in West Los Angeles crocheted beautiful red-white-blue lap quilts and an assortment of hats & scarves.  Dollie member Vicki Miceli donated two bags of Beanie Babies which her mother had collected through the years.  We had encouraged the director Mike Talleda to apply for a DMAD financial grant, which he did.  We were delighted to present Wounded Heroes of America a check for $1000, enabling them to purchase holiday gifts for the hero’s families.
