Today Mike Talleda, founder and director of Wounded Heroes of America, paid a visit to Dollies Making A Difference.  Wounded Heroes operates out of Hawthorne, CA and is a support network for veterans who have served in a war.  Every December the Heroes have a Christmas Gift Gathering Drive, and are now in the process of collecting gifts.  Dollies Making A Difference presented Mike with our donation of 60 dollies and teddy bears, all dressed patriotically! We also donated a basketful of colorful hand made scarves, and ten $20 Target gift certificates for the teens. Dorothy made red and green scarves (for Santa’s elves?), and we purchased four red and green cloth bags for Santa to carry his mounds of gifts hither and yon.  Mike caught us up to date on the latest news with the Wounded Heroes of America organization, and we pledged our support for the coming year!
