Every January for the past 16 years, Dr. Alan White, a professor at Williams College, travels with a team of medical professionals from the New England School of Optometry on a service trip to Nicaragua. Â He brings along 12 of his college students who are interested in spending a week in Central America, being of service to families in need. Â While in years past we have sent Dr. White with Dollies and Teddy Bears, this year we also provided him with a $2000 Dollies Making A Difference financial grant to fund the purchase of over 4,000 Â children’s sunglasses… which they LOVED!
