Marian Hamlett, from Dallas Texas, introduced Dollies Making A Difference to a wonderful organization Village of Vision for Haiti.  This non-profit “began with the idea that changing the life of one person is the first step toward making the world a better place for everyone.”  Their mission is to continue being of service to the people of Haiti long after the devastation of the 2010 earthquake.  We sent dollies and teddy bears with Marian when she made a humanitarian visit to Haiti in May 2014, and we also issued them a Dollie Grant of $500 towards the purchase of a pediatric dental chair for their small medical clinic.

The photos show how the children love the dollies, and also the colorful small crocheted blankets the Stitch by Stitch ladies create for us.

WOW!  Almost nine months later, the dental chair which was purchased and shipped in the United States in April 2014 finally was released from Haiti customs in December 2014!
