Maggie Doyne is a remarkable young lady, and Dollies Making A Difference is privileged to partner with her.

When 19 year old Maggie graduated from her high school in Morristown, New Jersey, instead of going on to college she decided she would take a gap year and backpack through far away parts of the world.  “Four countries and 20,000 miles later, I was trekking through the Himalayas in war-torn Nepal, where I began to meet hundreds of orphaned children. “  The rest of the story is an amazingly beautiful one, full of grace and generosity, and we encourage you to read all about it on Maggie’s blog BlinkNow.org.   After asking her parent’s to “wire over her babysitting money from her savings account”, she began to gather support to build a place for the many children who had no where to call home. Today, The Kopila Valley Children’s Home and School stands as a testament to what a person can do with enthusiasm, hard work, unfailing hope, and the joy that comes from being of service to others.

Here are some of the girls who have enjoyed our dollies.  We are told the girls are now learning to sew in order to make some new outfits for the little ladies!!
