Yesterday dollie maker Kristen emailed me.  She reported that after her delightful daughter Katherine made her school-wide presentation of the dollies she and her friends had created at Seven Arrows School, a mom approached her  from the audience and inquired about taking dollies with her on a humanitarian trip to Haiti…the next day!
We are always ready, even with a moment’s notice!  The  organization WE ADVANCE was started by the actress Maria Bello, and (taken from their website) they provide care & support to the children in “the poorest slums in all of the western hemisphere – Wharf Jeremy and Cite Soleil – where security issues deter the work of most international NGOs.”
Seven Arrows mom Chris Griffiths is leaving to join Maria Bello in Haiti  tomorrow, and she & her daughter & girlfriend stopped by to pick up 20 dollies each wrapped in a crocheted blanket, 20 colorful teddys, and 15 of Carolyn’s “drive by” quilts.  Wonderful!
